Ogwen Tigers, the team that we faced in our first competitive match on 10 August last year, are our next visitors to Treborth.
Our visit to face Ogwen Tigers at Bethesda Rugby Club back in August was a memorable occasion for everyone connected with our club, and it was fantastic that so many Bangor 1876 fans made the short journey down the A5. We received a fantastic welcome at Bethesda Rugby Club, and we must again thank both Ogwen Tigers and Bethesda Rugby club for their hospitality.
It should also be remembered that our 4-1 win away to Ogwen Tigers in August was also their first match following their move to Bethesda after having previously been known as Mynydd Tigers. The score was 1-1 at half-time, and Bangor 1876 had to work hard in the second half to ensure a victory that featured two goals from Dylan Summers-Jones, and one each from Jamie Petrie and Benn Lundstram. Kieron Bullock scored for Ogwen Tigers.
Ogwen Tigers are currently twelfth in the Gwynedd League but have racked up nine of their thirteen points in games away from home this season. Only four teams in the league have managed to win more games away from home. Ogwen Tigers lost 3-0 at home to Bro Goronwy last Saturday and lost 2-1 away to Nefyn in their only league match during December.
Please remember that we will again be having a foodbank collection at our game against Waunfawr. If you are able to bring any of the items listed in this post, we would very much appreciate it.
After our match against Ogwen Tigers, we will be heading back to Bethesda on Saturday 18 January to face Bethesda FC at Parc Meurig (2pm kick-off).
