On Saturday 26 October, we travel to Mid Wales for a league match away to Caersws. The game will kick off at 2pm.
We will be travelling to the Recreation Ground (postcode: SY17 5SA) for the second time this season, following our win there in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup on 31 August. On that occasion, the score was level at 1-1 after 90 minutes. Joshua Allen had given the hosts the lead midway through the first half before Corrigh McGonigle equalised six minutes before half-time. We won 5-3 in the penalty shootout. Following this week’s Welsh Cup draw, we now know that we will be heading back to Caersws once again on the weekend of Saturday 16 November in the third round of the Welsh Cup.
So far this month, Caersws have been an exciting team to watch as their last three games have seen an amazing 22 goals scored. Near the start of the month, Caersws won 5-3 at home to Guilsfield in the league thanks to a double from Craig Harris as well as further goals from Sam Phillips, Ashley Harries and Max McLaughlin. They followed this up with a 3-0 league win at home to Buckley in the league as Craig Harris, Sam Phillips and Max McLaughlin again found the next. Last weekend, Caersws won 7-4 at home Rhyl in the Welsh Cup. This win was secured thanks to two goals each from Max Mclaughlin and Rhys Hesden as well and additional strikes from Jamie Jones, Craig Harris, and Callum Francis-Jones.
Caersws are an in-form side so the scene is set for an exciting match. Please make the journey to cheer on our team if you can.
