Congratulations to Leon Owens on winning our first ever Goal of the Season poll. Over 300 people participated in our Twitter poll, and Leon obtained nearly half the votes. Shaun Lock finished second, Les Davies was third and Dafydd Owen was fourth.

The winning strike came from the youngest member of the Bangor 1876 squad came in a NWCFA Junior Cup match at home to Llanystumdwy at Treboth on 15 February. Midway through the second half, Leon's curling strike from outside the box put our team 3-0 in a game that we ended up winning 5-0. The match was a memorable occasion for Leon Owens who scored twice and won our man-of-the match poll. As a club, we had marked the game with a special limited edition programme. There are still copies available from the club shop on our website.
