Congratulations to Jamie Petrie on winning our first ever Players' Player of the Year award. The result of the vote was announced on social media by our team captain Michael Johnston in an entertaining video that you can watch here. In the players' vote, Cian Williams and Cameron Barry were joint second.
In an interview with our club website during lockdown, Jamie Petrie talked of his pride at representing our club, and giving something back to people who had supported him in the past when he was recovering from a broken leg.
Following the announcement that he had won the Players' Player of the Year award, Jamie Petrie expressed his gratitude in a short video that you can watch here. He said that the award "means a lot coming from team mates". He added that the current 1876 side has plenty of "exciting young players", also noting that "it's nice that us old boys can still pull our weight a bit".
Well done again to Jamie Petrie on winning Players' Player of the Year!
